McCarran Int'l Airport Expressway Project Progresses

Clark County is still advancing plans for an elevated limited-access airport expressway despite criticism that it’s an outdated traffic solution.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports county officials met yesterday with possible bidders to explain the qualification process. The bidding deadline is May 9th.

County Public Works Director Denis Cederburg introduced a plan in January for two raised roads with no traffic signals.  The roads would direct drivers away from McCarran International Airport along Paradise and to the airport on Koval and Tropicana.
