Utah State Auditor Says St. George Health Dept. Violated Law

The Utah State Auditor says a public health department in southern Utah violated state law and failed to release financial information.

A report released Monday by the Office of the Utah State Auditor identifies statutory and administrative lapses at the Southwest Utah Public Health Department in St. George.

The report says the health department failed to release financial information and transferred money to its nonprofit foundation to circumvent state law.
