NHP, CHP To Increase Patrols Along I-15

Highway Patrol in Nevada and California say they are joining forces to keep drivers safe on the heavily traveled Interstate 15 corridor between the two states.

About 45,000 vehicles enter Nevada from California on I-15 each day, traveling a stretch of highway once considered among the deadliest in the nation.

The two agencies will enhance their patrols beginning Friday and continuing for the next two weekends. Troopers said in a press release that they will be extra vigilant throughout the week.
