Fire Prompts Caesars Palace Hotel Evacuation On Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Fire officials say three Caesars Palace hotel workers were taken to the hospital after a fire led to the evacuation of the Las Vegas Strip property early Monday.

The Clark County Fire Department says the fire reported about 3:30 a.m. came from the top of an escalator and spread to curtains. Smoke swept from a ballroom area into the casino, prompting the evacuation at nearby shops and parts of the Palace Tower rooms.

Three hotel workers suffered smoke inhalation.
