Pat Skorkowsky is staying on as the head of Clark County Schools for at least another two years.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Clark County School Board vote was unanimous to extend Skorkowsky's contract as superintendent of the nation's fifth-largest school district.
The board faced a Monday deadline to give Skorkowsky written notice if it decided not to extend his contract beyond June 30th.

In the next two years, lawmakers will formulate and enact a reorganization plan for the district, which currently serves more than 320,000 students.
