Las Vegas To Get Bike-Sharing System

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Bike sharing is coming to Vegas through Wisconsin-based company BCycle.

The Las Vegas Sun reports after three years of discussions, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada awarded the contract in January. Officials say the bike-sharing system is in line with the city's demographics and transportation goals.

The system will debut at the end of August with 180 bikes available 24 hours a day across 18 stations. Annual membership is priced between $65 and $85, with day passes likely costing $6 or $8.
