LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas airport is seeing flight delays as a wind advisory warns of gusts as high as 45 miles per hour.
The Federal Aviation Administration reports Thursday that weather and wind are causing arriving flights at McCarran International Airport to be delayed about an hour on average.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory Thursday morning through 4 p.m., warning of hazardous travel conditions because of the crosswinds and blowing dust.

Meteorologist Jim Harrison said the heavy gusts are coming at 40 to 50 miles per hour with some as high as 63 miles per hour recorded in the northwest valley.
The weather should ease up quickly after midday with clear conditions expected through the weekend.
