Culinary Union To Try And Meet Trump Before Rally

Officials with the Culinary Union Local 226 are planning to be present tonight when Donald Trump makes an appearance at the South Point Casino south of the Las Vegas Strip.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the union, which has been working to organize labor at the Trump International, will try and meet with Trump and those who operate his namesake property ahead of a rally the Republican presidential candidate is holding tonight.

In December, workers at the Trump International voted to unionize as part of the Culinary and the Bartenders Local 165, but Trump and the hotel's operators have rejected the vote.

Over the weekend, a hearing officer from the National Labor Relations Board dismissed Trump's request to have the vote invalidated.

It is unclear whether negotiations for unionization will take place.

This comes a day before Nevada's Republican presidential caucuses, in which recent polling suggests Trump will win.
