The Bureau of Land Management in Nevada officially has a new leader.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports John Ruhs started his job as the BLM state director this week.
Ruhs previously served as the director of BLM’s eastern states and has been the acting state director for Nevada since April.

Other positions he’s held in Nevada include wild horse and burro specialist, fire management officer in Winnemucca, and district manager in Ely.
