About 800 Without Power 2 Days After Reno Storm

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Power has been restored to all but about 800 of the tens of thousands of northern Nevadans who lost it when a winter storm socked the Reno area two days ago.

NV Energy said crews were working to have all power restored in Washoe County and surrounding areas by Wednesday night.

More than 36,000 power outages were reported Monday night when the storm started dropping more than a foot of snow along the Sierra's eastern front. Power was restored to about half the next afternoon, but 8,000 customers had none for more than 24 hours and nearly 2,000 still were affected by midday Wednesday.
