Rand Paul Attracts More Nevada Endorsements

Republican presidential hopeful Rand Paul is lining up support among freshman lawmakers in the Nevada Assembly.

The Kentucky senator's campaign announced Thursday that Republican Assemblywoman Shelley Shelton and Republican Assemblyman John Moore are endorsing him.

Paul said he was honored to have the endorsement of the two Las Vegas lawmakers as well as others in the caucus states of Minnesota, Kansas and Utah.

Shelton called Paul a strong, consistent leader who could help fix a broken government. Moore called him a man of integrity and action.

Moore was recently listed on the state leadership team for the Ted Cruz campaign, but told The Associated Press on Thursday that he leaned toward Paul.

The senator most recently visited Nevada in mid-September and headlined a forum organized by the LIBRE Initiative.
