Southwest Gas has filed a request to increase rates throughout the state.
In northern Nevada, the utility wants to increase rates by about $2.13 in the summers and about $7.63 in the winter, according to the Elko Daily Free Press.
In southern Nevada, proposed rates would go up as well, but not by as much – in the summer, rates would go up around $1.30 and around $3.80 in the winter.
