Defense In Weapons Case Questions Metro Detective's Credibility

A veteran Las Vegas police detective charged with beating and robbing a prostitute took the witness stand yesterday in a weapons case he helped put together.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reportsdefense lawyers questioned Michael Kitchen's credibility, saying he put false information in an affidavit to obtain permission to raid a home in May 2014.

Kitchen first testified in the case at a suppression hearing just hours before he was arrested by fellow officers and charged with felony robbery, battery and attempted sexual assault in a confrontation with a prostitute.
