LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada regulators say the state's casinos kept nearly $831 million of what was gambled in June but the amount was down about 8 percent compared to a year ago.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that for the fiscal year through June 30 casino gambling revenue dropped 1.6 percent.
Gambling revenue on the Las Vegas Strip fell 16 percent to $445 million with the lucrative but volatile baccarat card game dropping by more than half compared to a year ago when it was a jackpot for the casinos.

South Lake Tahoe saw a 44 percent boost to nearly $18 million. Washoe County, including Reno, dropped slightly compared to a year ago.
The agency says the state collected 8 percent more in fees for the month for $48.7 million total.
