Nevada Senator To Donate White Supremacist Campaign Funds

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada Sen. Dean Heller says he plans to give a $500 campaign contribution made by the leader of a white supremacist group cited by Charleston church murder suspect Dylann Roof to a South Carolina charity.

Heller's office confirmed Monday that the Republican senator will donate the 2012 campaign contribution made by Earl Holt, leader of the white supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens, to the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund in Charleston, South Carolina.

An online manifesto purportedly written by Roof, the suspect in last week's murder of nine people at a church in Charleston, said he learned about "brutal black on white murders" from the group's website.
