Some B.B. King Kin to Visit Body the Day Before Public Viewing

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Some B.B. King family members are getting a chance to visit the blues great one last time in private at a Las Vegas funeral home ahead of Friday's public viewing and Saturday memorial.

King's daughter, Karen Williams, thinks more than 20 immediate family members will meet Thursday at the mortuary.

Williams has been fighting for control of King's wealth and property with King's longtime business agent LaVerne Toney.

The daughter's lawyers won an agreement for the private family visit during a probate court hearing Monday.

Toney retained power-of-attorney.

King died May 14 in Las Vegas at age 89. He's survived by eleven of his 15 natural and adopted children.

King influenced a generation of musicians with his heartfelt vocals and soaring guitar on songs like "The Thrill Is Gone."
