New North Las Vegas Warehouse Gets Warm Welcome

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A new 380,000 square foot warehouse being built in North Las Vegas shows signs of economic recovery and is expected to grow business in the area.

KLAS-TV reports that Gov. Brian Sandoval says the new building is a sign that the state is moving forward. Sandoval was at the building's groundbreaking event Tuesday.

The warehouse is being built as a spec building, which means there isn't a firm tenant.

But, a developer on the project says similar distribution centers employ up to 800 people.

Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins says the building will bring good jobs to the area and he hopes to see more of these projects in North Las Vegas.
