Bankrupt Caesars Division has until November to File Plan

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A bankruptcy judge says Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. has until Nov. 15 to file a reorganization plan and until Jan. 15, 2016 to get its creditors on board.

The company had asked Judge Benjamin A. Goldgar in Chicago to extend its time to file citing the complexity of the case and the court granted the request Wednesday.

The debt-heavy unit of casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. filed for bankruptcy in January to rid itself of most of the $18.4 billion in debt it had amassed and had until this month to file a reorganization plan.
