2 Fallen Vegas Officers to be Honored at Police Memorial

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Two Las Vegas police officers who were ambushed and killed last year while eating lunch are being honored at an annual ceremony honoring Nevada's fallen law enforcement officials.

Officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo will be recognized in a ceremony Thursday at the Capitol grounds in Carson City.

The two were killed at a Las Vegas restaurant on June 8, 2014, when they were attacked by a couple who later died after a shootout with police at a nearby Wal-Mart.
