Police Say 53 Guns Seized In Probe Of LV Marijuana Dispensary

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police in Las Vegas now say they seized 53 guns and two silencers in raids on a home and a medical marijuana dispensary owned by a man accused of operating an illegal pot delivery service.

Officer Larry Hadfield said Thursday the investigation involving Christopher McDermott is continuing, and may include federal agencies.

Clark County jail records show the 36-year-old McDermott is being held pending an initial court appearance on felony conspiracy, drug sale and trafficking charges.

Police say officers serving warrants found guns including rifles and assault-style weapons at a store called Super Budz, and at a home in a golf course community in northwest Las Vegas.

Investigators also seized marijuana, marijuana extract products and packaging materials.

Police say they began investigating after complaints about the business from neighboring stores.
