CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A group of conservative Nevada Republicans plan to introduce an alternative budget plan that doesn't raise taxes.

Republican Assemblyman Jim Wheeler said the plan would be introduced on Friday and wouldn't raise taxes. The Gardnerville Republican refused to detail the plan and only said no taxes would be raised under the proposal.

Another group of Republicans led by Assembly members Paul Anderson and Derek Armstrong introduced a separate plan on Monday to raise the state's modified business tax to fund Gov. Brian Sandoval's $7.3 billion two-year budget.

Sandoval proposed raising the state's business license fee to raise more than $437 million over two years to help fund K-12 education programs.
