Busch, Tyson To Be Inducted Into Las Vegas-Area Hall Of Fame

LAS VEGAS (AP) — NASCAR driver and Las Vegas native Kurt Busch and heavyweight boxer and area resident Mike Tyson will head a group of five 2015 inductees into the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.

Former UNLV star and Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Glenn Carano, UNLV rodeo team coach Ric Griffith and professional golfer Joe Kelly will bring to 89 the number of area sports notables installed since 1997.

The new executive director of the hall, Dan Dolby, says in a statement released Thursday that the induction ceremony will be held June 19 at the Orleans Arena.
