The Spring Preserve's annual Haunted Harvest returns on select dates October 12-28. The family-friendly event features trick or treat stations, carnival games, a haunted maze and petting zoo, monster training, craft activities, entertainment, food vendors, and much more.
Friends of Nevada Wilderness will host their 6th annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival at Zappo's Campus in downtown Las Vegas on October 20. The Community Fair will start at 3:00, with food trucks, giveaways, music and more. Films (12 of them) begin at 5:00.
The 9th annual Aki Matsuri will be held October 20 from 11 am to 9 pm. There will be music, dance and martial arts demonstrations, a karaoke contest, a haiku contest, a sake tasting area, and Japanese food. Some of the performers will be from Japan.
The Young Artists Orchestra will have a dance-themed concert, Danse Macabre, October 21 at the Windmill Library. Included: Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance, Brahms' Hungarian Dance no. 5, and Saint-Saen's Dance Macabre.
The annual Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar will be held November 17, with all sorts of imported and domestic holiday items available, including table decorations, trolls, rosemaled calendars, and a wide variety of edibles.
