The UNLV School of Music presents dozens of free classical music recitals and concerts every term. Most are by students, performing solo or in small groups. There are also performances by music faculty, guest artists, and visiting ensembles. Some things, such as their symphony orchestra and wind band concerts, have a small charge. Famed Irish tenor Paul Byrom, of Celtic Thunder fame, brings his 13-city solo tour "10 Years On" to Las Vegas on March 24. The 14th annual Las Vegas Celtic Gathering and Highland Games will be held April 14 and 15 at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. The festival celebrates Celtic heritage with entertainment, children’s activities, food, drink, dance and heavy athletics (such as the caber toss).
