The Tacos and Tamales festival at Sunset Park on March 31 will include the Tequila Tasting Experience, where you will enjoy tantalizing your palate with an array of Tequila brands sampling cocktails, pairings and more. Part of the proceeds will benefit local charity Create a Change Now.
Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada will host its first Beer & Boots Bash on April 12 at Lovelady Brewing Company. The event will raise awareness of and funds for RTSNV’s mission, focused on repairing homes for low-income individuals and families, revitalizing communities and rebuilding lives.
The 44th annual UNLVino will be held April 14, from 7 to 10 p.m., in the Keep Memory Alive Event Center at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health. There will be a wide range of wines to sample and food from top chefs. Money raised goes toward scholarships for UNLV students.
Japanese cuisine will be the focus of the monthly cooking class at the Divine Cafe. Under expert guidance you will prepare a meal using saki, fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, and the finest ingredients available. Then, of course, you get to eat it.
The Great American Foodie Fest returns to Henderson April 26-29 in the parking lot at Sunset Station Casino. It features innovative food vendors and top food trucks from around the country that have been featured on popular TV food shows. Also: a beer garden, carnival rides, and eating contests.
The 4th annual Celebrando Festival April 28 will celebrate Hispanic culture and giving back. There will be food, music, dance, art and musch more. They are partnering with Nevada PEP and some of the money raised will go to them.
The Country Fresh Farmers Market is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday at the Henderson Events Plaza in downtown Henderson and every Friday from 10 to 4 at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Available are fresh fruits and vegetables, salsa, honey, arts and crafts, and more---much more.
