Core Contemporary presents Nunca Ido - “Never Gone”, a solo exhibition by Robby Martin, aka Biscuit Street Preacher. A favorite of local artists and collectors, BSP has recently returned to town. Raw, brutish, textured and imperfect, BSP's paintings usually challenge human and societal imperfections. September 28 through November 21.
Skye Canyon's Chalktober Fest on October 20 will have artists compete in the art competition, artwork in the vendor village, and a chance for you to make your own masterpieces in the freestyle chalk art area. Also, music, activities for the kids, food, and craft beer. It runs from 2 to 6.
The Southern Nevada Rock Art Association meets on the fourth Monday of every month, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the REI store in Boca Park. Admission is free and anyone interested in rock art is invited to attend. There's usually a program on rock art and/or archeology, most often local or regional.
