The 7th annual Balloon Festival at Southern Hills Hospital will include early morning balloon launches, a Saturday health fair, kids’ activities, evening balloon glows, amusement rides and much more! Proceeds go to the High School to Healthcare Scholarship program from the Public Education Foundation.

Clark County Wetlands Park has a few more morning walks coming up. On October 21, check out the weirs in place along the wash and learn how they work. On the 28th, exlpore some of the park's habitats providing resting sites for migratory birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
The Southern Nevada Rock Art Association meets on the fourth Monday of every month, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the REI store in Boca Park. Admission is free and anyone interested in rock art is invited to attend. There's usually a program on rock art and/or archeology, most often local or regional.
Las Vegas Inspiring Connections Outdoors annual "friendraiser" wil be held November 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Transition Services. The dinner, live music, silent auction and raffle will raise funds to support nature outings and wilderness experiences for underserved urban youth in the Las Vegas area.
Join Project Hero to honor our nation’s healing heroes at Honor Ride Las Vegas on November 11. The family-friendly bike ride has three separate courses running throughout Las Vegas for all levels of riders. The event raises funds for local and national efforts for Project HERO (Healing Exercise Rehabilitation Opportunity) to help wounded veterans.
