The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas (and shelters across the country) will have "Home for the Pawlidayz" November 24-26. All cats and dogs six months and older will have their adoption fees waived, thanks to Zappos for Good. Animals will be spayed or neutered, have their shots, and be microchipped. A $10 licensing fee from the City of Las Vegas or City or North Las Vegas might apply.
The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is in desperate need of sheets, blankets, towels and such to use for bedding for their cats and dogs. Gently used or new items can be dropped at the shelter every day between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. They would also like to connect with housekeeping departments for regular pickups of donated items.
The Utah rescue group Because Animals Matter will hold the Get Bark To Nature Zion Retreat fundraiser December 1-3 in Springdale, with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities in and around Zion National Park. Proceeds from the event will support BAM’s many pet and community programs.
The Vegas Valley Dog Obedience Club will have registration for puppy and adult classes on January 11 at 7 p.m. Classes start the following week. Proof of shots required to register your dog. Do not take dog to registration.
You can adopt a dog or cat six months old or over or bunny from the Animal Foundation at no charge November 8-12 during National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. Included: spay/neuter surgery, microchip and up-to-date vaccines. A city/government fee of $10 will apply for residents of the City of Las Vegas and the City of North Las Vegas.
