Bark André Furry and Sir Winston Da Doodle, your Vegas Golden Knights loving pups, will host Bark & Winston’s Pucks ‘N’ Paws Party on September 25, starting at 6:00 p.m., at Downtown Summerlin. This canine-friendly event will benefit the Animal Foundation.
The UNLV School of Music presents dozens of free classical music recitals and concerts every term. Most are by students, performing solo or in small groups. There are also performances by music faculty, guest artists, and visiting ensembles. Some things, such as their symphony orchestra and wind band concerts, have a small charge. Food Truck Friday will be held every Friday through September 28 in Reno's Idlewild Park. It features 35 rotating gourmet food, craft desserts, beer, wine and mixed drink vendors, Free to attend, with music, lots of grass to sit on, plenty of parking and a large playground with train rides for the kids.

Clark County Wetlands Park has guided walks, talks, and programs every month. Some require advance registration. Quite a few are for kids, such as Nature Tales, which includes a story and a craft. Guided walks are for ages 10 and over. Also, art classes for all ages.
Nevada State College presents "Making A Mark," a touring exhibit from the Nevada Arts Council, through October 12. The 18 works by Nevada artists represent the history and practice of drawing. It's open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There's a reception October 10 from 11 a.m. to 2.
The Butterfly Habitat at the Springs Preserve lets you see a good mix of butterflies flying around and interacting with the plants they need and which need them as pollinators. You might learn something, sure, but really just seeing the butterflies is enough of a reason to go. Admission to the Butterfly Habitat is $2 for members, $3 for non-members.
The Natural Garden Design 1.0 classes at the Springs Preserve will cover everything needed to assess a site and design a garden using nature as your guide—soil, water, sun, plants, animals, planting, maintenance, and everything else. Take the series or individual classes.

Local artist James Stanford presents a new exhibition of photomontages of vintage Las Vegas landmarks and the city’s famed neon signs September 21 through December 8 in the Sahara West Library. A reception with Stanford will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on September 27.
The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is in desperate need of sheets, blankets, towels and such to use for bedding for their cats and dogs. Gently used or new items can be dropped at the shelter every day between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. They would also like to connect with housekeeping departments for regular pickups of donated items.
