The United Way of Southern Nevada's Day of Caring September 29 is a one-day community-wide volunteer event promoting and celebrating the spirit and value of volunteering, increasing awareness of our community needs and collaborating efforts through corporate groups and individuals. There are over 160 volunteer projects for you to chose from. You can register as an individual or as part of a team.

Leisure Connection (for adults 22+) is a social group for high-functioning adults with developmental disabilities. The Nevada Chamber Orchestra will give a free concert September 22, starting at 7:30, in the Summerlin Library's Performing Arts Center. Included will be works by Bach, Gershwin, and Haydn. Walkers, runners, individuals, teams, families, and kids are invited to take part in the Las Vegas Hemophilia Walk & 5K to support the inherited bleeding disorder community September 23 at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs. Registration and check-in starts at 7:30 a.m., with the walk and run at 8:30. There will be a light pre-walk breakfast, music, activities for children and a team t-shirt contest. Admission to Floyd Lamb Park is free for all walk participants.
