Members of Southern Nevada Paiute tribes will be at the Springs Preserve on Saturdays in October to share examples of their rich culture. There will be basketry and beadwork, traditional plant foods, and drumming and dancing.
UNLV Dance will team with the UNLV Orchestra to present Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet. Rather than simply reconstruct the original ballet, the goal of the work is to collect a group of choreographers and tell the traditional story though the lens of numerous dance genres. 7:30P, $18.
