American Craft Distillers Festival
Feb. 7-9. You’ve heard of microbrewing, but what about microdistilling? The American Craft Distillers Festival celebrates the art of the craft spirit. This three-day event features whiskey, rye, bourbon, vodka, gin and moonshine brands — and yes, craft beer — and brings together consumers, whiskey masters and brand ambassadors with tasting experiences, mixology classes, dinner and more. Splendor in the Glass

Feb. 8. Now in its 25th year, Splendor in the Glass is one of the valley’s premier wine- and beer-tasting events, featuring a live auction, live music, hors d’oeuvres and a live cooking demonstration by Chef Charlie Palmer.  Best of all, the event benefits PBS. Cocktail-making class
Feb. 12. Double Helix’s new cocktail-making class aims to teach you how to make both modern and classic cocktails while catching a buzz yourself. For the month of February, the class appeals to those with a sweet tooth: The Feb. 12 class will teach attendees the art of the White Chocolate Martini and a Lemon Drop Martini. Uncork’d
may 8-11. Sure, it’s three months away, but tickets are now on sale for this growing foodie-fest now in its eighth year. Once again, Uncork’d is like a tasty Geneva Convention where die-hard foodies get to dine, drink and chat with the marquee names of the international chef set. This year’s events include Dinnertime Decadence with Guy Savoy, the Asian-inspired Night Market, the Grill Challenge, and Sushi & Sake with Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Other celebrity chefs set to make appearances include Bobby Flay, Buddy Valastro, Daniel Boulud, Giada De Laurentiis, Joel Robuchon and more.
