Melanie Cannon

Originally from Virginia, Melanie Cannon has called Nevada home since 2000.  Melanie attended Brigham Young University where she studied English education.  Her pre-Nevada Public Radio career included writing NIH grants and working as a major-gifts officer for Norfolk-based international children’s charity Operation Smile.  She has worked as development director for Nevada Public Radio for the past 10 years.  Melanie began listening to public radio with her father and remembers gateway programs including “Car Talk,” “Fresh Air” and “Talk of the Nation’s Science Fridays.”
