Today in the Life's Small Ironies Dept.: The man playing Harry Reid in an upcoming HBO movie, "Too Big To Fail," about the 2008 global meltdowny economocalypse, is a staunchish, small-town and sometimes shouty conservative. But humble and wide-eyed when called for:

"In the scene I do I'm sitting at a table, I look up and do my line, and two feet away is Paul Giamatti and William Hurt," Jones said. "I'm thinking, 'What is this little guy from Park Ridge doing here? I'm in the big leagues, baby!' "
