JP Coolican On the Road
Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama are expected to announce their vice presidential picks any day now. Meantime, the two candidates continue to lob volleys back and forth over the Iraq war, energy independence and whatever else might be the issue of the day.
Tracking all of this on the road through Monday's start of the Democratic National Convention in Denver is Las Vegas Sun reporter J. Patrick Coolican. We're checking-in with him throughout the week as he drives through Arizona, New Mexico and then Colorado with Sun videographer Matt Toplikar and photographer Leila Navidi.
