Forget John Phillips Sousa and stuffy marches. This brass band plays versions of pop songs, film scores and rock music. And they will be performing at the Fifth Street School on Thursday and Friday.

COMMENTS:
I'm almost 50 and started playing horn when I was 9. I've never played professionally but I still play regularly and continue to improve. Music is a spark that becomes a fire that never goes out. I've played together with elementary school kids and 80-year olds and still made music (admittedly not at the level of the Presidio Brass). Kudos to Presidio Brass for spreading the gift of music.
