Jeff Hinton, Nevada Teacher Of The Year

Do you remember a teacher who had an impact on your life? Educator Jeff Hinton hopes to have an impact every day.  He teaches history at the Las Vegas Northwest Career and Technical Academy and was recently named Nevada’s Teacher of the Year.  His influence can be seen in the numbers: about 60 percent of his students passed advanced-placement tests in 2010 and the pass rate has increased to 87 percent in 2013.
