The death of Muhammad Ali was personal for many in Southern Nevada..

The boxer dubbed “The Greatest” touched numerous lives here in Las Vegas, where Ali fought seven times. Only New York City hosted more of his fights.

Ali’s immense skills, showmanship and brash talk made heavyweight boxing the UFC of its day. Still it was his character and courage outside the ring that made the loss so profound.
