Living in Las Vegas, it is not unusual to have brushes with fame.

Most of us have craned our necks to see the celebrity sitting in the restaurant on the Strip, or gone out of our way to go to a club where a celebrity is playing host.

And it seems, everyone has a connection, mostly tangential, to the Killers or Imagine Dragons.

But a family in Memphis didn't just brush up next to greatness, they actually lived above it.

Harold Fruchter is the son of an orthodox rabbi. His family lived above Elvis Presley’s family in a house in Memphis.

They would often call on teenage Elvis to be their Shabbos Goy - the gentile who would perform "work" that religious Jews did not do while on the Sabbath or day of rest. In return, the Fruchter’s may have unwittingly influenced Elvis’ music.
