School starts Monday for more than 300,000 students in southern Nevada, but about a third of Clark County School Districtstudents may not be able to go to class because their parents haven’t registered them.
The school district this year is requiring all parents to register students through the Infinite Campus portal. This is new, and a lot of parents have not received the message.
Now, CCSD is pulling out all the stops to get the word out: REGISTER YOUR CHILD TODAY
KNPR's State of Nevada talked to David Roddy one of the people in charge of getting the word out.
He said if a student is not registered by the start of school Monday, they will have to do it at the office at their child's school, meaning the child could be missing some of the first day.
Each office will have a computer area set up for families that don't have Internet access at home.
There is also an Infinite Campus liaison at every school to help parents with questions about the program, but parents must log into the portal with their own login not their child's.
