It’s safe to say singer-songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John remains a household name.

From her hits across musical genres and the decades to her powerhouse performance in the film adaptation of the musical "Grease," her fans span multiple generations.

Newton-John has been performing in Las Vegas since last April.

She recently resumed her “Summer Nights” residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

Newton-John has charted and received awards in not only the adult contemporary and pop genres, but also country. Her hit song "Physical" even appeared on the R&B charts.

Newton-John, despite her reputation as one of America's least offensive pop stars, found her most successful projects were ones that pushed the envelope at the time, like her hit song "Physical" and the movie "Grease,"  which earned her sex-symbol status.

"I remember thinking ["Physical"] was a great song, but after I recorded it, I had a panic attack," Newton-John recalled.

However, she says that little bit of risk was well worth the reward.

"I called my manager [and said], 'I think I've gone too far -- it's a bit too naughty...'  He said, 'Too late... it's already in the Top 10...'  Sometimes you just have to go for things you're afraid of."
