Leprechauns Help LV Pedestrian Safety Campaign

Leprechauns were on the loose in Las Vegas today, working to make area roads safer.

They were part of an effort to remind drivers to watch out for pedestrians crossing the road.  Officers from Las Vegas Metro and the Clark County School District were among those enforcing driving laws at crosswalks, stopping drivers who failed to yield to the highly visible leprechauns.

The event took place at Jones Boulevard and Dewey Drive this morning and at Desert Inn Road east of Decatur Boulevard from noon to 3 p.m., areas where pedestrians have recently been killed.
