Major League Soccer notified the city of Las Vegas today that it would not be selected as a site for an expansion franchise in the 2017 or 2018 seasons, city officials said.
The city had teamed with Findlay Sports and Entertainment and the Cordish Companies to put a team in downtown Las Vegas. T
he plan was to build a $200 million soccer stadium at Symphony Park. Now that no team is coming, the stadium proposal is dead, officials said.
