The oldest son of Cliven Bundy was arrested Tuesday by the Iron County, Utah Sheriff’s department, according to court records.
Ryan Bundy was arrested following a scuffle with sheriff’s deputies outside the Iron County Justice Court, The St. George Daily Spectrum reported.
According to the report, deputies were trying to serve Bundy a warrant for failing to appear in a 2014 case. Bundy was in the courthouse on an unrelated 2013 incident.
Ryan Bundy’s father, Cliven Bundy, was at the center of a dispute with Bureau of Land Management last spring near Bunkerville, Nevada.
Bundy and an armed militia who supported him were in a standoff with BLM agents. The agency said Bundy was illegally allowing cattle to graze.
Bundy and his supporters didn't believe he had to pay for grazing because of preemptive rights to the land.
