The Birth of Clark County

February 5, 2009, marks an important anniversary in Nevada history. On that day, Acting Governor Denver Sylvester Dickerson signed the bill creating a new county.

Clark County's 100th birthday and its year-long celebration in a county named for a Montana silver barron kicks off this week with the opening of a new exhibit, "A Destination's Century," at the Clark County Museum, located in Henderson. The public is invited to the opening reception on Thursday night at 5:30pm.
