National Finals Rodeo Gets Underway Tonight

The National Finals Rodeo kicks off its annual ten-day run at the Thomas & Mack Center this evening, marking its 30 ^th year in Las Vegas.

Events during the rodeo will include bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, bull riding and---for the cowgirls---barrel racing.

At stake is some $6.375 million, fancy gold buckles, and the overall championship
