Nevada Jobless Rate Dropping

The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation reported Friday that Nevada's jobless rate ticked down one-tenth of a percentage point to 7.6 percent in August, its lowest level in six years. That's down 2.2 percentage points from what it was the same month last year. State economist Bill Anderson says construction employment led the growth with nearly 13 percent more jobs this August than last August. Professional and business services came in second after growing 7 percent year-over-year.
