Channel 3 in Las Vegas Sold to National Company

The Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Wednesday it will purchase KSNV-TV (Channel 3), from Intermountain West for $120 million.  It is the NBC-affiliated station in Las Vegas.

Sinclair currently owns two other stations in Las Vegas, KVCW  and KVMY , and will have to sell one of them to comply with FCC regulations. If the purchase is approved by regulators, the deal should close in the first quarter of next year. The station was owned by Jim Rogers, who died June 14.  Sinclair is one of the largest broadcasting companies in the U.S.
