West Nile Found In Southern Nevada

The Southern Nevada Health District reported Monday they've found mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus for the first time this year. They were found in the zip codes 89103, 89107, 89129, 89138, and 89149.

Officials say no humans with the virus have been reported so far.  The health district says it learned of nine West Nile cases in southern Nevada last year, with two people dying of the disease.  They recommend wearing bug repellant when outdoors and getting rid of standing water that can turn into a mosquito breeding ground.
