Judge Called To Jury Duty

Not even the chief justice of the Nevada Supreme Court can avoid jury duty. Chief Justice Mark Gibbons was among those selected from about 100 potential jurors to serve at a Carson City trial this week.

The case involves a man accused of waving around a gun in a Carson City Olive Garden last summer.  Gibbons said he will tackle his Supreme Court duties in the evening while he attends the trial, which is likely to last through Friday.  He says it's the first time he's served as a juror, while he's presided over about 150 jury trials as a judge.
